Each package of Silk is a 105" Each package holds 4 separate cords. Each of the cords contains 26 fine threads. It is possible to separate the fine silk threads in much the same way you would separate embroidery floss. When 8 of the cords (26 strands each) are braided together they make a braid that is approximately 4mm thick. The silk is cut and packaged in Japan. The 105" length is perfect for braiding an obijime, the tie that holds the obi in place over the kimono.
This product is 100% silk. Silk is very soft and resulting braid is not only gorgeous, but authentic. We are especially pleased with our price per package. It is less than out competitors and we carry the full line of colors.
