This is the beautiful satin cord that comes in your KTG Round Braiding Kit (1mm). Each packages contains 1 piece that is 12 yards long. The satin cord is rayon over a cotton core.
The Thin Cord is half as thick. The pictures are for color purposes only. Don't use it to judge thickness.
Not all colors come in thin. If there is no choice for thin listed with the color you want, it isn't available.
Special Order The regular width comes in a 144 yard spool and the thin in 72 yard spools. If you are interested in that option we can do that as a special order through email.
There is great discussion over what the diameter of thin vs. regular vs. heavyweight. First, this website doesn't carry any heavyweight in solid colors. Regular is the most popular and most widely known size of satin cord. It is approximately 1.5mm wide. The thin being approximately 1 mm wide. Some people refer to the sizes as #0 for thin, #1 for regular and #2 for heavyweight.
An 8 bobbin round braid made with regular satin cord is approximately 6mm thick and fits nicely into a 6mm end cap.
