Custom Coated Swarovski have been coated with a unique custom finish to accentuate and enhance the beauty of the original stone.  Please note that all crystal requires special care and handling in order to retain its beauty and luster.  Crystals that have been treated with a custom finish WILL react to chemicals.  Accordingly, the stability of the finish will be compromised by the application of chemicals such as hair sprays, perfumes and lotions while wearing this product.  Should you be concerned about the durability of the finsh, it is recommended the application of a coat of clear nail polish to its back so that you'l be able to continu to enjoy your beautiful stone.
